Owner, Head Coach
Jarred grew up in Northern California playing for many top tier teams. Through college he played hockey at Arizona State University (ASU), graduating in 2012 with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Media Analysis. As a player, Jarred was a part of the program’s massive growth. His senior season, as an Assistant Captain, the team was top ranked in the Western Region and finished 5th at nationals.
When his playing career was over, Jarred didn’t want to give up the game, and he started coaching multiple youth teams in Arizona including both Desert Youth Hockey Association (DYHA) and Valley of the Sun Hockey Association (VOSHA). Jarred is currently the Head Coach for Arizona State University ACHA Div. II team and an Assistant Coach for the Arizona Kachinas u14 teams.
Having now coached for 12+ years, Jarred has earned a reputation of developing individual skills and preparing players for the highest levels of hockey. Coach Jarred is a Level 4 Certified USA Hockey Coach and excels in teaching skills such as stick handling, shooting, game situations, and power skating to players of all ages ranging from first time players to professional athletes.
Coach & Defensive Specific Coach
Jordan Young grew up playing for the PF Changs u18 AAA team in Phoenix, Arizona. He was later drafted to the NAHL as a 17 year old where he played for 1 year before being drafted to the USHL Youngstown Phantoms. Following his Junior career, Jordan returned to Arizona State University, where he won a ACHA National Championship and was named the first Captain of the NCAA D1 team. Jordan was selected to play on the USA Men’s National University Team 2 years where he played in both Spain and Italy. He now enjoys coaching youth hockey players and has a special focus on defense skills.
David Norris is a Calgary, Alberta native and is currently playing Professional Ice Hockey in England. David most recently played for the Hull Pirates in the NIHL where he won Forward of the Year. Prior to that he played for the MK Lightening in the EIHL where he was selected as the Coaches Player of the Year. Before his professional hockey career, David was a founding member of the ASU NCAA D1 team where he played 3 seasons as a Sun Devil and 1 season for the NCAA D1 AIC Yellow Jackets. During this time he earned awards on the Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team, and as the Atlantic Hockey Top Rookie Point Leader. Prior to becoming a Sun Devil, David played Jr. A hockey in Canada in the AJHL.
Strength & Conditioning Coach
Conor is a Scottsdale, AZ native and grew up playing ice hockey for the Phoenix Firebirds and PF Changs teams, before ultimately deciding to attend college to play Division-1 baseball. He went to college at the University of Arizona and Wofford College, where he was a Louisville Slugger All-American. Conor is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the owner of CCFit a personal training company.
Born and raised in Orange County, California, Coach Anthony Caruso started playing hockey when he was 9 years old. Anthony played ice hockey and graduated from Northern Arizona University, earning the award of Academic All America, during his senior year. After college Anthony joined Jon Elkin’s Goalie School in Toronto, Canada, and later played 3 seasons of D2 hockey in Sweden. After his playing career was over, Anthony became both a hockey coach and an official.
Coach & Girls Hockey Specific Coach
As a player, Mindy was part of the Mississauga Chiefs Organizations out of Ontario Canada. She also played for Team Ontario and NCCC (college) Saranac Lake Saints in New York, and participated in both Team USA and Team Canada’s Development Camps. Mindy is currently a Head Coach for the Arizona Kachina’s girls hockey program. She has coached girls of all ages from 12U Elite to 19U Tier II including many State Championships. She is a level 4 Certified USA Hockey Coach.
Coach & Learn to Play Hockey Specific Coach
Sean MacNeil started his hockey career in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he was exposed to some of the best youth hockey coaches in the country. Playing AAA hockey in the metro Detroit area, Sean spent a lot of his youth traveling to all parts of the United Sates and Eastern Canada playing against the top competition in his age group. He attended The Winchendon School in northern Massachusetts, playing in the USHS-Prep League. After attending Assumption college for a year, Sean returned to Michigan and entered the work force. After meeting his wife and moving to Chicago, she encouraged him to get into coaching. Almost 5 years later, Sean has spent most of his coaching career with beginner and mite age players focusing on the basics, structure of the game, but also specializes in power skating (a long time student of Carrie Keil, USNTDP Skating Coach) for all ages. He is excited to bring his experience and hockey knowledge to the west, and the Mill.
Coach Zac was born and raised in Scottsdale, he played youth hockey in the valley until he was 16 and was selected to play for the United Stated Development Program in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He won a U17 and U18 gold medal and was drafted by the (then) Phoenix Coyotes. After the USNTDP, Zac played 4 years at the University of Denver and graduated with a degree in communications and marketing. After college, Zac played 3 years of professional hockey and split time between the AHL and ECHL. He finished his career playing for the Tucson Roadrunners and is now coaching youth hockey in Phoenix.
